I photograph weddings because in doing so I can be remarkable. And that's really the one thing I've sought to be for most of my life:
...outlandishly, unforgivably... remarkable.
When you invite me to be there with you on your wedding day, you do so because you value tasteful, timeless images that speak to your heart - images that are full of the emotion, the details and the moments that you've worked so hard to create and that you want so much to remember. And what you receive from me in return is just that: images that bring back all the memories and emotions of that day time and time again.
I tend to photograph alone with only the help of an assistant, unless it's clear that the day would be better served by an additional photographer, and with minimal gear. The goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible, to blend into the background, so that when you receive your images you'll find yourself happily reliving moments for which you didn't even know I was there. Unadulterated, unscripted moments tend to produce the very best photographs, so my primary goal is to fade away from view, to lie in wait for those moments and to capture them.
I started photographing weddings in southern California and now live in Portland, OR, within walking distance of the wonderful Multnomah Village, with my wife and son. Client consultations are conducted in my home studio during regular business hours and typically at various other locations during the evening.
Thank you so much for your interest in my work, and please don't hesitate to get in touch with me to inquire about availability and to get more information about my services.
In the meantime, it would be an honor to photograph you, and I look forward to being a part of your wedding day.
